Ghachok enjoys a mild subtropical climate, with a dry season from October to May and a wet season (monsoon) from June to September. The best periods to visit are October to December and February to May when the mountains are very clear and the temperatures are pleasant. You can still visit Ghachok from late December to early February, it is warm in the day, but it can be cold at night when trekking in higher altitude. During the monsoon expect some rain and hot temperatures.
Make sure to have good walking shoes for hiking & trekking, and some warm clothes for evenings during the cold season (November to March).

"Mon Village is the perfect place to unwind. before after or instead of a trek in the Annapurna area.
Great views, great food, great management.
Perfect for kids, safe and close nature, no cars but also no cliffs.
There is a nice waterfall for bathing and a river in walking distance.

"Beautiful, off the beaten track village. The host Lok looked after all our groups needs, and cooked us incredible meals. He even got up at 4.30 am to cook our group of 10 breakfast, arranged Jeep transfers to a few different locations, and took us on a walk to the waterfall for a quiet swim. The accommodation is quite basic, but very clean and has everything you need. I'll be bringing other groups there again for sure. Thanks Lok, & also to Thomas for doing the finer arrangements :-)"
